Hi All,

I got my N400 receipt notice today. The letter had this statement..

Anyone knows what this means ? anything to worry abt ?

The above application has been received by our Office and is in process, but has been noted with one or more of the following exception(s):

Missing Evidence(s) - your application was missing evidence(s) that you will need to bring the time of you Naturalization interview. You will be notified under separate notice of the necessary evidence(s) that you will be required to bring to your interview. Do not submit any evidence(s) by mail.

So what do you

What kind of evidence you need to bring at interview ? Do you get a separate letter ?

Everyone gets the same statement on their letter ..? interesting

its a general format used to mail out receipts...however if they need additional documents ,they inform you with the interview letter...whats ur d.o?
did you move to a different place after you got your green card and forget to file a ar11?

It's pretty much standard and many people get that (I wouldn't say everybody, because, I for one, I didn't get it) but if is something really missing or needed at the interview they will tell you in the interview invitation.

Query11

did u file for ar 11 every time u moved?
your reply is improtant!
thankyou

I know the question wasn't addressed to me, but assuming that a general info on this subject is what you're looking for:

Between 1999 when I got my GC and 2006 when I became an USC I've moved 4 time...I've never send the AR-11...I even didn't know about this form (AR-11)
Wrong doing...I'm not advising anyone to do so
;)

I got the same wording, and my interview letter didn't ask for anything special.

I believe is a standard letter.

Hi All,

We donot remember if we had filed AR-11 when we moved to our home. But we applied for a new GC for our daughter and we received it at our home address. I am really not clear if we filed AR-11.

Is there any way to check to see if we had filed AR-11 or can we do it now.

We will be apply for USC by end of 2006

Hi there!

My receipt notice did not talk about missing evidence either. Maybe you forgot to include the pictures, or it is about proof of Selective Service registration (or exemption etc.). Bottom line: Nothing to be concerned about.

When I received my interview letter, it listed the standard documents (generic) that are required for the interview. The same stuff that they list in the N-400 filing instructions. Most of the stuff I am "supposed to bring" to the interview does not even apply to me: Stuff to proof that you are still married to a U.S. citizen, U.S. military papers (if the application is based on military service) etc. etc. stuff of that nature.

Common sense: You bring only the documents that pertain to my case, such as Green Card, passport, Selective Service Registration (original, I had submitted a photocopy with my application), Reentry Permit (I had also submitted a copy of that with my application), tax returns to be safe (I had submitted copies of the IRS transcript for 2002, 2003, 2004, will haul that and 2005 with me).

Do not worry too much. You will be okay if you take the documents that apply to your specific case.

Cheers!

but la99...you forgot to mention if you applied for ar11 everytime you moved.
that notice really puzzles me as i had everything right except for not filing for ar11 and i got the exception notice...so i have a strong feeling it has to do with something regarding ar11 as in my initial noa...they talked about missing evidences and wrote about me collecitng utility bills/credit card bills/bank statements for the applied address...
thanks in advance
q11

i am sorry i just went through the receipt and
it mentions my d.o.b and my adress and asks me to update if there is any change...
i dont know if you guys got the same exception notice....

thanks in advance...

Hi query11!

Thanks for your post. I do not recall if I filed AR-11 everytime I moved. I think I did, but I am not 100% sure.

Your observation regarding your receipt notice is correct. I looked at mine a minute ago and it states the same. I think all initial receipt notices ask you to verify your A#, address and DoB and notify them should the information on the receipt notice be incorrect.

Cheers!

Hi,

Going back to the original question, my husband and I received our notice letters today. Mine has two things that my husband's does not:
1. Missing evidence(s), as listed here
2. Important Notice about needing to go for fingerprints

I suspect the missing evidence has to do with my name as I am requesting a name change. No idea why his notice does not mention fingerprints, but I am sure this is just an omission.

That's interesting ... I am married and have been using my husband's last name; that's the name I registered for SSN and green card purposes; maybe they want my marriage certificate to verify it. Then, I also had to report the infamous traffic tickets - I indicated they were speeding tickets - maybe they want proof that they were for less than $500. I'll provide updates once I know more.

What is your DO (query11)? I am also looking for people with experience in Philadelphia.
