missed our interview

i wonder if anyone has any advice? i am a US citizen; my wife had an AOS interview for her green card(marriage based) which we were unable to attend due to car trouble. INS service center said to write a letter requesting a new date which we have done, although they added that our request may not be granted. an immigration lawyer my wife has been speaking to suggests that she can definitely get us a new hearing, but that if we wait until after INS denies our written request we have no more legal options. personally, i think she's full of it. does anyone know what to do in this situation??

aos missed interview

i dont know how long has it been but if you call the toll free number they can allways do and interview inquiery and try to re-schedulle as well as writting for an new how ever you dont want bcis to denie the request because once is denied they can start deportation preceeding so i suggest you go to the office in person as soon as possible as well as writting a letter to the distric director with especification as to the reason why you missed your appoinment.remember in all inquiery to include the A# assigned to your wife case it is very important as well as the letter for the appoinment. do not sent them the original send then a copy of the appoinment letter call 18003755283 and request to talk to an immigration information officer, actually when you get on the phone the first time tell de CSR that you were told to talk to an immigration information officer, but you just got disconnected some of them after hearing this will transfer you immidately to IIO.

good luck
that lawyer wants to make money off y
