Missed other names used question on N-400

I couldn't agree with Jack more. When I called about my situation, the person on the phone pulled my file and without me telling her, she was able to tell my middle initial. I didn't mention mention my middle name or initial on N-400 application (which is my original issue). I mentioned the name exactly as looks on GC, which has only my first and last name.

anmn,

I think whatever you did is more than enough. That's what I am trying to do too. I will do it during my FP appointment. And that's all we can do, I guess. :)

Thanks,
Newbie001.

I thought they should still have all info .
In this case let me ask you one more question. When I'll have my interview the IO will tell me my name on the certificate of naturalization is going to be in full spelling including my middle name or it's going to be the way it's on the GC right now(only with initial of a middle name)?
Thanks again

Other names question

Hi all,

I would appreciate some responses to this question:

My passport had the following name:

<P****> <A***********>

My green card and every other document in the US has the following:

<A***********> <P****>

In other words, the reverse order of last and first name. The one used on the passport is actually incorrect and the issuing office corrected it on my new renewed passport to reflect the correct name as:

<A***********> <P****>

The question now is: I didn't indicate anything on the "Other Names Used" question. Should I do it now (my application is pending)? Since the name was
corrected in the new passport, should I bother? Can I explain this at the time of the interview?

On another related question, my Birth Certificate says my name is

<A>. <P****> in otther words, only first initial and last name.

Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.

should this create difficulty at the time of the interview?

I just called USCIS again to verify if I can change this information during FP appointment. After initial discussion, I was transferred to a higher official regarding this. She asked all my information, pulled up my file (on the computer it seems) and said, I should not worry about the middle name.

She said, "When the name check is done, they do it with First and Last name. And in USA, we don't care much about middle initial or name."

She also said, "If you want you can correct this during your FP process. But I am not sure if it will be corrected on your application then. You can correct it during interview. Again, it is not going to be make any difference or delay the name check or your overall process".

And she told me that FP notice have been sent to me already and I should receive it as soon as early next week.

Please let me know your opinons/feedback/comment.

Thanks,
Newbie001.

Can you provide the number you called and the sequence of options selected. I can never seem to get to a person at the other end - I keep looping around through the menu system.

When I called 800 number I used these options-1-2-3-6 and you'll have a chance to speak with a customer representative.

Nope - that didn't work. Almost all options (other than change of address) takes me to a voice message saying call back to speak to a customer service rep between 8Am and 6PM M-F.

How do I actually get to the customer service rep on the other end? The sequence of options you list is not correct. This is the number I called for customer service:

800-375-5283

The phone number is correct and I believe the sequence of options are too(at least it worked for me a few times). But today is a government holiday that's why you cannot speak with the cust.service representative.Try to call tomorrow

The sequence that worked for me was: 1-2-6-0 at the USCIS Customer Service number.
