Missed my FP

Hi All,

I missed my Finger printing as i was out of the country for a month\'s time.
I received my FP notice on 01/20/2001 (i was out of the country by 01/18/01) and the FP notice indicated that i would have my FP done on 02/03/01. I came back to US on 02/20/01. I called my lawyer and spoke to her. She said she had already requested for re-scheduling.

My question here is : Can i go to the INS office mentioned in my FP notice on wednesday or saturday (as per my FP notice) and get my FP done without any prior appointment. Did anyone do this earlier?

What exactly does your notice state? Does it give you a window of a few weeks when you can do your FP, or does it only state a particular date?

it stated that i needed to have my FP done on 02/03/2001. didn\'t give any window

pachai,

I suggest you go ahead and have finger prints done using the expired
notice. Explain to the officer that you were out of the country when
the notice arrived. Rescheduling will probably take some time.

Can someone give me the direct telephone number of INS Oakland (ASC)?

I need to talk to the operator and find out whether i could go there
for FP with the expired FP notice?
