Missed 2nd FP notice and changed address

I-485 filing date: 4/13/2003
1st FP: May 24, 2003

2nd FP notice: Sept 24, 2004

I did not receive the notice, since I moved (and had asked for change of address over the phone), until November 5, 2004. I mailed out a form asking for a change of address and to re-schedule my 2nd FP.

I received a mail from USCIS dated November 15th, 2004 letting me know that they have applied the change of address (from Boston to NYC) and that the processing of my application has been delayed due to shortage of resources.

Questions:
-Is there anything I need to do to expedite the re-scheduling of the 2nd FP?
-Could I just walk into the NYC office and request that finger printing be done now?
-Anyone with a similar predicament?

Any info/comments would be greatly appreciated.

I was in same situation. I contacted my local congressman. TSC sent another FP notice to my new address in 10 days.

Thanks for your help. I just sent out an e-mail to the local congressman in the NYC area. Would you recommend that I call them directly (the office) or just wait for a response via e-mail.
