Misdemeanor record

URGENT:
I had an misdemeanor record that was expanded 6 month back, but when I applied for citizenship a year ago I did not mentioned about that record.
After my finger prints they found out that I have a record and INS asked me to bring all the documents about that case at the time of citizenship interview.

Does anybody know if INS will reject my citizenship because of that?

Do you mean you "expunged"(you used "expanded") your record AFTER INS did your finger print? In that case they must be able to find your record.

If you did your FP after the expungement, I would guess they shouldn\'t. Please confirm.

I don\'t think they can deny your application as long as you/your lawyer can find strong evidence to support you. For example, some states have law saying you can say no if your record is expunged.

You need to ask a lawyer.

Did you get your citizenship. Did u have an interview. Could you share some info please. I am assuming since your expungement was 6 months after your FPing, the check came out with a record. My assumtion like purgeot purgeot is also that they would not come up with any record if the record has been expunged. Howvere purgeot said that he checked with FBI and had it expunged with FBI. I am not sure FBI does expungements. Purgeot can u share some info on this please
