How about also mail the request to the NEW GOVERNOR, because he is new, he maybe would like do somthing.
Unfortunately, INS comes under Federal jurisprudence and not State. So the governor has no jurisdiction or control over the INS. It is better to stick to Congressmen and Senators for our cause, since they have direct control over INS budgets and oversight committee.

Re: Pelosi

Apologies, I guess I didn't mention that I went to Congresswoman Pelosi's office. I turned in our letters personally. They told me that it would be some weeks before they got back to me. I also faxed the petition and letters to the Washington D.C. office.

I tried to fax Senator Feinstein's office in D.C. but it never seems to be free. Even on Thanksgiving, even though I thought I was being very clever, the fax machine was engaged.

When I was at Senator Boxer's office they told me that they would forward the petition to their D.C. office on my behalf.

So, I think I've managed to turn in the petition everywhere ;-)

Additionally, I have a USC spouse. (We married recently, so am still doing my I485 employment based WAC 02 124...) and I asked him to write, as a voter, on our behalf and my behalf also. He did, and we turned in all his letters at the same time and hopefully to the same places!

No problem, and thanks for your updates.

Congratulations !!

It's great !!
Good luck

My request to all the 1000+ people who've visited this thread to please please fax/mail the petition. The Congressmen and the INS are both aware of the delays but won't take any action until we show them we're concerned. Until we show them how serious this issue is, this delay will remain the same.
I just sent it 3 weeks back and should've done that long time back but atleast I realized there's no point waiting. So wake up, especially the people who've ND of 2002/03 you don't want to wait for 4-5 yrs. Once you send your petition please visit the office of Congressmen for follow up. I'm sure once they see people sending faxes/mails and visiting in person they'd atleast know that now it needs to be addressed.

SHOW YOUR CONCERN
