Minimum stay on first entry?

I plan to enter with my GC and stay for about 4 months since I still have stuff to wrap up before a permament move to the US. Will this be an issue?

I've had people warn me that I need to enter for 6 months minimum stay the first time I enter for claiming GC. Is that true? Thanks.
 
I don't belive so. I have known people who have left the country within days of POE.
You just need to make sure you do not stay long outside US to break the LPR status. Look at the doc. link above.

Thanks for the information, but has anyone here personally left the US in less than 6 months and then returned after a few months without an issue? Than you again.
