Minimum Passport validity needed at the time of H1 transfer??

Hi guys,

I am planning to transfer my H1B ....however my passport is expiring in Nov.....does anyone knows what is the minimum validity of passport needed for H1 transfer?

------------- at this time you have valid passport and your employer can file the H1 transfer. passport validity is needed at time of stamping or entry to US.

Does it means I would only get the new I-797 valid till Nov.
The thing I am confused about is ...since my passport is getting expired in Nov....would I be able to get the new H1b approval notice (after suceesful transfer) valid for the next 2/3 yrs?

you will get H1 extension approval till you are eligible and asked by lawyer and it has nothing with validity of passport.
