Milestone for TSC ...

Guys and Gals,

I am not sure if any of you noticed but the latest processing times released on th 13th of June place EB 485 processing dates at Dec 2005. The TSC is now offically at the 6 month mark for processing EB 485 cases :). I am sure they will report this great accomplishment to everyone shortly.

It is another matter as to how they have managed to jump to Dec 2005. Retrogression is such a wonderful way to hide the truth and fabricate processing times. If only retrogression worked in real life. I wish I could put all my work projects on hold indefenitely and then claim to my bosses that I have caught up with everything and demand a raise ... that would be nice ... but alas, I am not the USCIS :)

That is how we are so doomed !!
I don't remember when was the last time an EB3 was approved.
Last year, at this time, all the categories were current. However, there no chance to get my GC this year (with PD NOV 2002). I'm just resigned to wait until 2008.
So, I got two more EAD to renew, one now in July 2006 and another in July 2007.
The only thing I wish is to keep working. I don't need anything else.

saras76,
Retrogression is dictated by the visa buletin dates published by the State department. So it is unfair to blame TSC for its ability to adjudicate I-485 cases in 6 months!
If you want to blame someone, blame the Congress for imposing the per country limit. The State department employees are not responsible for the retrogression since they have to abide by the law. Again, Congress can argue that the reason for per country limit is to ensure diversity in the immigration process. Perhaps one need to fix the root issue for the huge immigration from certain countries.. I know everyone will "claim" to chase the American dream.
For example, to reduce the immigrants from Mexico, the social and economy situation in Mexico should improve. Otherwise, you will always have huge in flows to the neighbouring countries.

All yoy have to do is add the   NAME CHECK  :D element and pass the blame to somebody else.

No Eb3 cases approved latley and how come dates are changing for that category.
my PD is May 25 2001 (WW) and i m current accroding to the june Bulliten. my EAD is going to expire next month and need to spend 180 more to get a new one.

No matter what is delaying our cases we need to KEEP our hopes up.

2006gc,

I would agree with you entirely if there was any sort of transparency in this system. One agency blames another who blames another. TSC is releasing dates based on retrogression, so in a sense its not their fault but my friend when dates were current, the TSC approved cases from 2004 and even 2005 before even looking at cases in 2001 and 2002. Visas that should have gone in FIFO order were allotted randomly. Now people with old PDs (like myself) will have to wait for years while others who filed after me have had their GCs for over 1.5 years. Anyway, I could list a million things that led to this retrogression and almost all the agencies have a hand in it.

I am not blaming the TSC, I am just bitterly amused at the current situation.

Friends:

As per my understating before retrogression USCIS was approving case which was cleared by different agency ex. Name Check and many. Other.
Without following any order as 2000,2001,2003

After retrogression as the PD becomes current they pick up those cases which are cleared by different verification agency....

Because now they need wait for PD so its by default in order....

What is the criteria to check *Name check) has been done for your case or not.
Please explain.

I think by the time we will get our GC we need to prepare to go back to india specially IT/Techie people.

I am very much amazed the way indian companies as recruiting like infosys, TCS, wipro etc...Also other companies like Microsoft, bellsouth increasing strength in india...And lot more company making big big development center in india like verizon etc...

I am looking forward to go back to india in next 5 years only.

Hi Saras

My husband died 13th May 06 and as he was the petitioner for my sons CSPA case it died with him

It seems I now have to start for scratch again and file an I 130 for an unmarried son over 21 years. The service centre is working on cases received in 1999 and will be subject to visa number being available so could be another 10 years which is unbearable. If I died before approval the this new case would die with me

I do not have any money as it is all tied up till probate in the USA and UK so I am going to see a not for profit immigration firm to see if there is anyway I can get an earlier prority date for my son as this is what should happen if he aged out

Have had interview today with reporter, and will let you know when story goes to press

sorry to hear about your immense loss SUSAN
take good care o fyourself ..i am sure GC issue will get resolved.

But, the fact is there are no I-485s are adjudicated within 6 months. The USCIS has created a new excuse; the delay is due to the security check, simply shifting the delay to the FBI. The Processing Time has become meaningless at all, hasn’t it?
