The N-400 application asks for the full name in 2 places. One is in Part 1 Section A where it asks for current legal name. Second in Part 1 Section B where it asks for name exactly as it appears on Permanent Resident Card.
My name is James Michael Smith [as an example] and I usually refrain from using my middle name except when it is absolutely must like in passport/visa/immigration processes.
Now on my permanent resident card my name was printed as Smith James M
But on my N-400 application in Part 1, for Section B , I accidentally put it as Smith James Michael , instead of Smith James M
I have my interview coming up next week, and I wanted to know if I should stay quiet or bring it up to the notice of the IO to make the correction on the form.... I am hoping it is not a big deal that IO raises objection to request to have all the name/background checks run all over again.....
Kindly advise..
