Message Changed from "Case not found" to "Case was received .....&quo

 Earlier Automated message always had been " -----Case not found." Yesterday it changed to " This case was received on sept 10, 1999. Such cases take 90 - 180 days..............and so on ".

Please comment what does this mean ? Does it mean the file has moved from the shelf to a person ? Shall I be optimistic that the wait is going to be over soon, or is this an random event with no major significance ?

My personal experience: message changed from "case not found" to "your I485 application was received on ..." sometime during the first week of August. I485 approved on August 14, 2000. I am not sure whether this was just a coincidence; although, I did hear about one more case where the person received a RFE a few weeks after the message changed. My GUESS is that your file has been assigned to an officer.
