mention spouse during visa interview

my husband is applying for first time h1 visa interview-i am in states with h1 too.
shuld he mention in his visa interview that his wife is living in u.s and is employed there

YES -- he would have to mention it
look at form DS-156 Question #37 -- it covers this specifically !!

BTW, H visas allow for immigrant intent -- a consulate CANNOT deny someone a H visa for expressing an immigrant intent (in other words, you don't have to prove your ties to your home country like you have to do for B/F visas).
