Hi Friends,

I went to French Consulate in Atlanta,GA to get my transit visa. Here is what got from the officer. I hope this help people traveling to India.

AP is not a visa

Since AP is not a visa, so does that mean for those who are travelling on AP will still require transit Visa?
 
form 1-512 is the AP

check the scanned document and also your AP. The memo says that with a valid form 512, you dont require the transit visa.

AP is I-512. You apply using form I-131 to get a form I-512

Applicants who plan to leave the United States before a decision is made on their application must provide INS with advance notice of their travel plans in order to ensure permission to re-enter the country and to avoid having their application terminated and denied. Applicants who plan to leave must file a Form I-131 to obtain a Form I-512, Advance Authorization for Parole.
