I know that at one point that I will have to go through the medical tests. I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and currently under medication.

Can someone advice the implication this might have on my application. Can I be denied GC because of this?

NO. The only reasons why your IV would be denied is if you have a communicable disease and/or a substance abuse problem, and that too, only if the physician determines you would be a public hazard. So, sit back and chill.

No big deal for IV, but you should mention it on the medical form. Only communicable diseases could bar potential applicants, and they can also be waived in some instances.
