Hi,


My wife needs to do medical test but doctor is asking for all chicken pox, MMR and all vacine
and i don't have any records and he is asking for money for this

Please reply if anyone in this category and what u did

You need to have all those vaccinations up to date. It's part of the medical. Did your wife ever have them? Does the doctor in your home country not have records?

I had my doctor from home send a signed letter. Good luck!
 
The insurance covered in my case. Give the doctor your insurance card - if he does not accept, go to another doctor.
 
I gave him my insurance card but he says that insurance doen't covered immigration medical test
 
Don't tell him it's an immigration medicals. Go to a doctor who participates in your insurance company and ask him to do all these tests and then take the reports to the immigration doctor.

These test are not medcially necessary for your health, therefore most insurance will not cover them. They are just another expense in getting the green card, like legal fees.
 
In my and my wife's case. My doctor did some lab test which showed that we had these shots. I took that report to INS approved doctor for our medical exams.
 
I asked the same doctor to give shot but give me a receipt for the shots. He/She can't refuse the receipt. I submitted to Insurance later & theu paid some part of it as per coverage plan.

Alternatively you can go to physician and ask him write for blood work to test for relevant antibodies due to initial shots you might have taken. My initial doctor was scared to give these because of live virus but was happy to write the test for it. ( he was not INS but GORA) . Went to another DESI INS approved & no problems . He gave the receipts too. You won't get reimbursement of 130 (INS physical) etc.
