Hi,
If a person is suffering from Genital Herpes or Genital Warts( a diseased std according to doctors which is not curable), Does that mean the peson is not eligible for Green card and he would be denied a green card on these grounds

Please let me know

No that is not the case....But certainly is an issue for which 485 can be denied.....
I have heard people with HIV+ve status can get 485 approved which was previously denied..But the denial has to be appealed by your lawyer....giving proof of adequate medical coverage, good doctor, no liability etc...I am not sure of other details ...
Lawyers should be well versed with such situations

Kiran_gc.

i just did my medical tests a couple of months ago.

Testing for HSVII (genital herpes), is not part of the test.
The tests are specific to medical conditions as listed on the medical form and testing for HSVII is not a part of it.

there's nothing to worry about.

:)
