My wife is doing her first year residency on a H1B visa in NY. However, she will be transferring to another program in Maryland for the 3 year portion of her residency next year. My LC has been certified through PERM through my employer and the I-140/ 485/ 765/ 131 have been applied for - both, for myself and my wife. Can someone share any thoughts on whether she will be able to start her program in Maryland next year based on an EAD?
Are there any specific state or program related laws that govern whether residents can/ cannot be working based on an EAD? If anyone can point to a website where this information can be had for the state of Maryland, that will be great.
