Medical Question- Please help

I am redoing my medical for RFE. Since spouse had PPD positive, the new doctor did not do it. Just wrote on the form : not done. previously positive" and then wrote that X-ray was normal.
For myself, since it was negative before, the test wasnt done at all.
Are both these results on the documents okay. anyone with previous PPD positive experience for RFE, could help as to what they did. Should I do the MT test again. My previous results were done June 02.

If I get the MT and the other tests done elsewhere and take the results to the civil surgeon, is that okay. The tests will be read by other doctors and the civil surgeon will only certify the form (I-693) .
For Varicella: typically what do people do.

this is just my expereince

When I went to the doctor (Aug 2002) for the medicals...I showed him all he tests I had which I brought along for Student Visa. Doctor said those would have been Valid if they were done within one year.(Mine were very old at that time though)....
so i guess if you have these test done within one year and have certificates then the doctor should do it.
Note all my tests were done in India which was required for F-1 visa

I went to Dr. Seymour Wexler.in Rahway NJ.

When did you do your previous medicals ? I know that there used to be a expiration date on the medicals too but it got changed. No harm in getting your X-ray done as that will rule out everything.
 
Yup. Looks like your case is very similar. I had PPD positive too. I was asked to do a chest x-ray.
My first doctor (ABCD), had no clue since he was doing it for the first time. Even though the reaction was 4mm (should be > 10mm), he wrote "positive with 4mm".
Upon receiving my RFE, I did my entire medicals again and even though my PPD was negative, I did the chest x-ray.
So I did PPD test and chest x-ray again. Just made me feel better to have everything done at my end.

My suggestion: Just get everything done again.

This is what you should do to speed it up.
Get the injections again since that will not have any adverse reaction. I did that too. That will save you time waiting for the test results, and the INS doctor can immediately sign on the form.
Go to your personal physician and ask him to write you a prescription for a chest x-ray for TB test. It will be covered by your insurance then and you will not have to pay. Take the results to the INS doctor and he will sign on the form I-693 and enclose the result.

My worry was if I get the tests done elsewhere and not at civil surgeon, would that be okay.
we have got our x-rays and medicals done. hope to send the rfe back asap.

I recently done medical for myself and my wife.

PPD was +ve for my wife. She developed red patch and it was too bad for her. She can't bear the pain. It was lasted more than 15 days.

Dr. Suggested that she can't do second time PPD because it would have worse than this time. She told us to keep this record with us all the time and in future if someone ask for TB test, (even INS) we should go for Chest X-ray only.
