Does anybody know what are the tests one has to get done and what shots one needs to get to satisfy the Immigrant Visa Medical requirements? Also, can those shots be had in the US itself or is it mandatory to get those shots by the Embassy/Consulate recommended doctor?
Is there a list of all the tests and shots?

Thanks.

hope I get the list right ....

Immunizations for adults:

1)Chicken Pox
2)MMR
3)TD

Tests:

1)HIV
2)Syphillis
3)TB (X-ray)

The immunizations can be taken in the US for 2 and 3. For Chicken Pox ur word is taken if u say u already had it. MMR and TB X-ray are waived for Pregnant females.

The HIV and Syphillis blood tests will be done in India beside the usual physical checkup.

For kids its a little different than the above but I don't remember that now.

Someone add to the list if I have left out somethings ...

this helps a lot. I had another question: If somebody gets the vaccinations in the US, and the goes to the doctor in India, say Dr. Jain, then does he take the proof / papers of the vaccinations taken in the US and combine them with the test results / X-Rays he administers?

Thanks.

medicals question-

any info as to deshi physicians honoring syphylis, HIV, TB testing from county health ctrs, here in USA.
If you go to the state run health centers, available nearly in all towns, they are done nearly for free for your information.
