If you can, get these shots in advance:
Td (Tetenus): If you did not get one in the last 10 years or dont have any documentation for it
MMR: This is actually 2 shots given 4 weeks apart. If you never had measles, you will need both shots. So get the process started ASAP.

Many health departments provide these shots for free, or if you have health insurance you can get them as well. Just dont tell them its for immigration.

You can get the shots anywhere, but DO NOT get the tests done elsewhere. And if you are worried about the doc you found, look at Northern Virginia or Maryland for other docs.

The only other significant tests are for TB and HIV, and its part of the package with the designated doctor.

What are the vaccination requirements?

You should have vaccinations for:

Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus
Diphtheria toxoids
Pertussis
Influenza type B
Hepatitis B

If you are unable to submit all your vaccination records at the time of the exam, or if you have never had certain vaccines, the Civil Surgeon or Panel Physician can administer them to you.
Important: Do not try to fulfill your vaccination requirements before you meet with the Panel Physician or Civil Surgeon, in case it is not medically appropriate for you to have one or more of the required vaccines.

All those vaccines go for free in all New York Public Health Centers,TB test as well.

RD Aug 22,2001
Approved Sep 15,2005
GC received Sep 20,2005

My wife just had medical done last week in Wisconsin: they require only three vaccination: Td, MMR and Chicken Pox.

However, our local health department only administers Chicken Pox to school age children. And the pharmacist charged $160 for one shot.

It might be what we are looking :) but it should be a shame for country like US to have such a poor health care system

I've called today the office near old court house (VA).
The lady on the phone told me that if I dont have record I need MMR, Tetnus, PPD shots and TB & HIV tests. They are going to charge $305 for that.
Oh, Man. thats too much. does anybody has any idea. does that make any difference if I go to another place.
I think I have to call back home to get my records (not sure they can get it now or not)

any idea.....

I went to USCIS approved Surgeon today He was really helpfull . He charged me only $140 for 1)TB, 2)HIV ,3)physical check :) plus i payed him extra $20 so he prepared my paperwork ASAP in 2 days . He promised me they will be ready until Saturday .(i hope my test will be fine  )

He told me i have to get 1)Tetanus and Diphteria vacine2)Measles mumps&Rubella 3)Vericella (i didnt do it cause i had it before :) )Surgeon told me if u have had it before dont do it and he marked my I-693(imunization form) though i didnt have any paper proves from backhome that i did it.Surgeon trusted me :p :)
So i did it only 2 vacines + Influenza(which i did for myself) all vacines were free I did them in 5 minutes after appointment with surgeon. So far i've spent $160 :) if anybody needs DC VA USCIS SURGEON i have good one. who is really helpfull old man.i can give u his contacts.

Today I went to doctor as well. :-)
he charged me $100 for physical, blood test, skin test and preparing my papers and he asked me to go to city hall in fairfax or falls chruch (VA) and get the 3 shots. They will charge me $87 for those shots. After 2 days I'll go back to doc so that he'll check my skin for TB and then if I show him vaccinations, he'll give me the papers. So my total bill is gonna be $187.

P.S i found his name & number from the USCIS website.

I mailed RFI with all the documents back to USCIS on Jan 9th.

today i've got email and the status changed to:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status
Current Status:
On January 11, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

whats next :-)

why only 14 days

why they gave you only 14 days? Your ND is 2004. They are going to sleep on it for years to come before they gave ,,,.
anyway good luck

i think its just a standard message. "If 14 days has passed and you have not received blah blah blah....."

when i got the RFI, my online status was also same,,, but on the letter they give you 2 months time period to respond.

Hi everyone..

I had a RFI for Medical & G325A and my LUD changed after they received the reply. However I had a BIO Code 3 in Feb and they didnt change the LUD after that. Does anybody has experience related to that. Does it change usually after BIO or not.

:-(

Mine changed the same day (on Feb 15, 2006). I don't know if it's for Bio code or not, but it changed on 15th and then on 16th. Hope this helps.

Usually it changes the same or next day after BIO is taken.
