I received three receipt letter today, for 130/485/765
on my I-765 receipt, there says The next step is to have your biometrics taken at a BCIS applicaiton support center (ASC).

Should I do the medical examination I-693 now or should I wait until get the interview notice?

I just send in papers about 2 weeks, and dont want to waste money for the medical examination.

But these is show on my I-765 receipt, nothing on I-130 and 485 receipt.
Will that mean if I dont submit I-693, they are not going to processing my EAD?

Thanksss in advance.

I-693 has nothing to do with the EAD. The timing of medical exam depends on the service center. Some service centers want it along with the initial application and some want it along with the interview..

Its mentioned clearly on I-693 form details...

Secondly you should research the Atlanta thread which is really informative...

Atalanta needs it at the time of filing application as I or my lawyer had sent mine without my medical and I got a letter to send it a.s.a.p. or my case will be abandoned. If you are in Atlanta, you have to send it when you file your AOS.

that's not true. I filed my AOS papers with ATL office in July, they were transferred to MSC, and there hasn't been any notice about the medical exam. In any case, on form I-485 it says: if you are filing at a local office, do not send I-693 with I-485 -- wait for the instructions from the office.

In ATL, AOS takes 2.5- 3 years, so the med exam can be done when you get a notice for your interview, and the results can be brought to the interview.

in some cases (based on what I have read on this forum), they issue an RFE for the medicals before the interview.

Nased on just two experiences below from SWaiting and waitingforAOS11, you can see that USCIS does not maintain consistency in the process and deals differently with each case/different officer for whatever reasons.

My bets advice is follow the instructions u get for ur case from USCIS. Since they did not mention anything abt medicals yet on ur 485 receipt, I wud just sit tight and wait. make sure ur address stays current with USCIS and create a 'portfolio' on the uscis website as backup for cse status.

btw, when did u mail in ur paperwork and how long did it take to get the notice?

good luck.

lets put it this way

you got this far without it so I would just wait

when they do need it they'll let you know

trust me...

All three of my receipt letters are sent from Lee's. Smminxxx?(spell wrong), MO. But one of inside is addressed as chicago, IL, which is I-485 receipt.
Is that mean from now on I need deal with those two place?

I mailed at Sep.22, receive their receipt letter at Oct. 4

What is RFE?
When they says on the I-765 receipt, there has some phone number, website, and the instruction for find a doctor. Is that mean they are REQUIRE it now?

thanks

What is your notice says?
My I-765 receipt says:
1st para, correct the above information
2nd para, BIOMETRICS-
The next step is to have your biometrics taken at a BCIS Applicaion Support Center (ASC)
below is phone number
3rd para, WHAT TO BRING TO Your appointment-
letter and ID

The following is some website about checking case status.

May I know what is a Really notice say?

it tells you to schedule a biometrics appointment. At the biometrics appointment on Buford Blvd they will take your picture and fingerprints. That's it.

I called the number 1-800-375-5283, and choose 1for english, 2for filing, 3for finding a doctor in our area.

I got a doctor in Ozark, AL.
Where is the Buford Blvd? And our doctor said he only do medical exam, nothing to do with the FP.

***************************
In addition, there says on uscis website.
"After USCIS receives your application, USCIS will provide you with an appointment letter with the location of the nearest USCIS authorized fingerprint site. Please read the instructions in the appointment letter, and take it to USCIS authorized fingerprint site when you go to your fingerprint appointment."

Assume I misunderstood BIOMETRICS means, but the day I receive this letter, I also received one letter ask me to pay the $70 FP fee, coz I forgot to attach it with my I-485 fees.

I mailed it out at this Monday, and I believe they didnt receive the check yet.

Is that possible they ask you to schedule a FP appointment before they receive the applicant fee?
***************************

What is the notice exactly want me to do?

Thankss

Wanzi,
You are one confused person and your half baked assumptions are confusing other members too..

a) EAD HAS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH MEDICAL...

b) The 800 no is a common no for lot of things however in your CASE Its applicable to setting up an appointment for Biometrics and FP..

C) FOR MEDICAL, it says very clearly on I-693 form to not submit along with I-485 application in Atlanta... You will be asked at the time of the interview notice to bring your medical results..

d) If you are still confused, get a lawyer...

e) OBVIOUSLY the doctor has nothing to do with an FP...

kapish....

Sorry to confuse somebody else.
Last important question, is "Biometrics" actually mean "Fringerprint"?

I guess this is the key made me confused.

ALL they will do at INS Support center is take your index finger print for EAD Photo for EAD and Full Finger prints for 485....

So dont worry about what biometrics is. Just set up an appointment with INS at the 800 no. Tell them about the notices you received. it will be 1 appointment only..

Then get it done and enjoy..........

Thanks very much for ALL the above respond.

I just made an appointment to get the Biometrics done.

Thanksssss

RFE for i 693

In VSC they made it clear to file medicals with 485, but my attorney insisted to file in the event of an RFE or as when they require.
Yesterday i got an RFE for my medicals along with employment letter from my GC sponsor from VSC.This was after 19 mos. filling of 485.

Frankly, these guidelines aren't strictly followed by service centers.

Your ignorance amazes me and then you all blame the lawyers. Please read the form once in a while ?? Its different for employment case compared to Family case. And familly cases are filled at local office not in vermont (except for baltimore office, which requires intial payment to be done to vermont)
