Hi

I would like to know if someone knows a good doctor in the bay area to perform a Medical Examination Report and Proff of Vaccination.
The phone number of the INS redirected us to the nearest one, who ask for $130 in cash only. Some friends told us that it is too expensive and that some doctors are not very truthfull. What do you think?

Not bad deal

Is $130 include x ray? If it is , it is a good deal.
I asked some hospitals, they charge for $200 and xray not included. :)

Yes, we did our Medical from following doctors. These group of doctors know everything about immigration medical. Even Receptionist is master.
Please call them and gave a try:

No.

XRAY would be done only when SKIN test failed.

Here are steps:

1. Doctor will inject some medicine in skin and will for 2-3 days. If that medicine reacts that means SKIN test failed.

2. Then Dcotor will go for XRAY. ( Costs around $100)

Don't worry it will be okay.

xray included

Hi,

XRay is not included.
The problem is since I am from France, I was immunized for tuberculose when I was kid (it is compulsory), which means that any skin test will fail... while I am immune!
I have a photocopy of the immunization certification, and that's all.
Are doctors trying to make the most important numbers of test?

to all economy class INS waiters (and I am surely one of them):
try to get all vaccinations as a part from your PCP (your doctor/the one your insurance provider provides). You may get tested for TB also from your provider (just dont mention that this is for INS). Skin tests fail for many waiters for the reason that "thot" said, they are already immune. However I dont think the doc would accept an immunization cert for various reasons. X-ray costed me 35/- (all dollars, all mine). The blood test costs another bunch (like $100/-). I know of friends who paid 500/- and more to complete the exam. me, I had to go twice coz the certificate expires after an year. thats the scenario...
