Could you tell me how much it will cost to finish the medical exam per person without the health insurance coverage?

Thank you very much,

Sharon

A few dozens to a few hundreds depending on...

1. which doctors, who charge different office visit fee;
2. which items you will have to do, some passed on first test and some have to test more;
3. how many shot (vacinations) you have to get.

I don't have the list and can not provide further help. Try to find the vacinaitons list and see what you have done before. A few threads have etailed information on that.

Only medical exam coast 75 to 150 $ per person depending on Physician office.

It doesn't include x-ray fee, x ray reading fee and immunazation fee. You can find more information on www.immihelp.com go to I-485 (adjustment of status) -> medical exam. Usually immunazation includes MMR, TD, etc.

And as far as I know if you have insurance, mostly it doesn't cover. you have to pay from your pocket.

(if you reserch and if you have time or if you can pursude your family physician without mentioning INS about Immunazation it would cost less or some time cover by insurance)

I hope this helps.

medical costs

sharon,
if u haven't done any of the immunizations that r reqd,go to ur local DHEC office, get the the shots done over there. then take the appointment with the doctor and show him/her the record of the shots. this will cut ur medical cost a lot. DHEC charges a nominal fee. but u will need to get ur blood test done at the physician. this is my experience.
and answering ur question about the medical charges, everything going normally, i paid $190 per person. this shud give u an idea. no medical insurance covers the immigration costs. the docs ask the payment to b made upfront.
hope this helps. and good luck.

I got my immunization records faxed from India ... the
doctor accepted that and i paid only $135 for the whole
process ....

No records, no shots given

We paid $100 per person (including everything) since he was not accepting our insurance plan. So, we were almost similar to persons not having any insurance.

The doctor we went to was originally from Canada and was very friendly. We had no medical records. He checked our BCG shot marks (taken many years back in India) and based on that we did not have to take any shots again. He praised Indian practice of BCG shots and knew a lot about India.

The fee included one x-ray.

Hope this helps.

Question for Desi's.....

Question for Desi's.....

There are about 9 vaccinations on the list, I have records for 3 like polio etc. which are commonly given in India. Are the other shots not given usually? Like DTP, Hepatitis etc.

What does BCG cover?

Thanx...
