Hi,
I have 2 questions that I need anyone to inform me. It's a bit confusing.
1. When I had my daughter 4 1/2 years ago, I was single and had my own restaurant then I was sick and then got broke. so, I got gov. benefit in food stamp, medicaid and 30% of rent. 2 years ago, I was married to US citizen, I got my 2 years green card and I need to take the limitation on the GC this august, which I have to apply this month. My husband is not the father of my daughter. My question is by getting the benefit from the government, will it be any affect on my permanent GC?. The benefit is for my daughter and I am not included in it since I was out of status 2 years ago. Now, I have my GC, the social worker thought I should get the benefit too which I am worry of. My husband and I are filing tax seperately and he lives half of his time in Dallas due to his mother's health.
2. my niece is German citizen, she's planning to go for 1 years HS in NYC. If or when she goes to school here, she will be using her tourist visa which expires every 3 months. She will go back and forth for the visa. Do you have any ways that she can extend her stay for 1 years? She get accepted in a public school in NYC.
Thank you so much
