Medicaid and green card

I have a J1 visa. I will be applying for employment based green card. My US son received Medicaid for some time.

When I fill out the forms for green card, does they ask me if my son received medicaid and Wic?

Can INS know by any means if the child of an applicant was receiving medicaid?

They asked me the same question when i had interviewed and they wanted a letter from social services showing for how long i got this.I send them as rfe.
But i don't think that they will investigate this if you don't tell them the truth.

I have a J1 visa. I will be applying for employment based green card. My US son received Medicaid for some time.

If the son is a US citizen, there shouldn't be an issue unless he qualified based on your (lack of) income. My daughter received Medicaid for years based on a deeming waiver.
