Verify what the lawyer says
U shld chk if the lawyer is being accurate.I had a bad experience. Mine told me it was mailed but when I got th recpt I realized that he had mailed it 3 weeks later than stated

I talked to IIO
Today morning I talked an IIO, she said they passed the July dates,there are backlogs. She also asked me to call the Lawyer.I know Lawyer is not going to give the mail detail.Even if I Insist they can give any track number which may not be mine. Now the only way is to believe the Lawyer and wait.

Check with your lawyer again and be firm.
I had originally filed on 4/30 for me and my wife. For some goofup at the mail room our applications got separated and returned to our attorney on separate days. We re-filed again on 8/8 and got the receipts with ND of 9/27. So anything can happen. Be pushy with the attorneys. I am not alarming you guys but make sure you follow up with your attorney.

Your donot have to re-(apply)Ask your attorney to contact INS
In my case initially my wife\'s application was returned and later my application was returned (as they got separated). My attorney was in touch with INS and based on advice of INS we/attorney waited till my applications were returned and then re-filed. I guess the calls from attorney\'s will be seriously attended than from the applicants.
