I need little help.
What all documents you took for FP schduling to local INS.
What is the best time to reach local Atlanta INS for it.
I went to local ATL INS for my EAD and the guy at the counter sent me to a specific room. Did u go thru the same process.
Please post as much info as you deem helpful for others. I may go to ATL for my FP.

Scheduling FP at Local INS

It\'s really depends on the person. For my wife, she hesitated little. Receipt Notice is the Only Doc you need. Tell the Receptionist, you want schedule the FP. He\'ll give you a token and direct you to the Customer Service.

At the customer Service Counter, talk to them nicely explaining your situation. Tell them that you applied I485 long back and request them to schedule the FP.

Even I had very bad experience when i went for EAD at local INS. This time they are very nice.

Really, it doesn\'t matter, when you are getting FP. If you need more info, let me know.

Is it worth going early morning or it doesn\'t really matter (b\'se at times they just ask you to wait till late after-noon for actual stuff).
I mean to ask if you get in early morning, Can you get out early?

When you go to the Local INS office, Do they give a specific date for the FP to be done or they would take the Finger Prints right away.
 
FP at Local INS

Even my lawyer was surprised by this.

You can go to INS at any time. I prefer to go in the Thurday Morning.Now they opened more than 8 counters. Wait time may vary from 30 Minutes to 2 Hours.

If they agree to schedule the FP, they ask you for the convenient date. If you want, you can do it same day. Finger printing will be done at different place(INS Application Support Center, Buford Highway).

I think, this will help you. One my friend went to schedule the FP for his wife, he couldn\'t do it. Again, it really depends on the person at the counter.

- Why do we have to go first, take appointment and do FP? Can we not do it on the same day? Is there a big rush?

- Do you recommend to go at Buford Highway early morning? Was there a big rush?

Have you received your FP notice from Texas or u plan to get the appointment from local INS?
 
Local FP

I didn\'t receive FP notice from TSC. Since, it\'s taking long time, i went to local INS to schedule the FP for me on behalf of TSC. Then i went to the INS Application Support Center at Buford Highway with the Appointment Letter.

Ther is no rush both the places. You can go at anytime.

If you get notice from TSC, you don\'t have to go the INS office in the Downtown. You can go directly to the INS Application support Center at Buford Highway.

did u call INS TSC to verify if they received the FP clearance from FBI. Just wondering if all things went smoothly since TSC INS wasn\'t expecting the FP result.
