Hello,

I spoke to an IIO some time back and was told that my case is under review. How long would it take the INS to reach a decision once a case reaches reeview stage? Any inputs???
What exactly does "under review" mean? Does it mean someone is looking at it as we speak? How is it different from the file just being in the processing queue? Anyone?
Processing Q - Nobody cares it is gathering dust in some shelf
under review - YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE couple inches of dust is wiped of your file and a clerk/officer takes it onto his/her desk
With an officer - some officer pulled it from his in bin.
rfe - officer is lazy to go through the file but wants a check on his "todo" list so he asks for more info (the janata letter everybody gets like "how do you spell your name" or "are you sure you got your parents name right"
approved - the officer felt a pang of conscience and actually dusted his "approved" stamp and put the stamp on your file.
IIO - ILLOGICAL/INCORRECT INFORMATION (so applicant is) OFF their backs
