Does my wife (USC) have to accompany me there ?
Do we need to bring any additional documents ?

Hello all,
I have the biometrics appointment letter (ASC appointment notice) tomorrow at 3 p.m in USCIS Boston, 170 Portland street, Boston.... (I am the applicant and my wife is USC)

I am just trying to prepare early

Does anyone know if Parking is available in that area or would you recommend public transportation ?

My appointment is at 3 p.m and there is no indication stating that I need to be 30 minutes or 1 hour before so I assume we just need to be there on time. Please let me know if there is anything else that might we worth considering

Does the biometrics procedure take place at the appointed time or are there usually delays (if so how much about 30 minutes upto hour ???)

I intend to bring

appt. notice
driver's license
Passport (optional ?)

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Parking in that area is difficult to find - it would be best if you took the public transportation. It's hardly a 5 min walk from North Station. You can go alone for the biometrics - there is no need for your wife to be there with you. You don't have to go early, but you will have some wait depending on how many people are scheduled for their biometrics around that time. I had to wait about 45 min - 1 hour I think.

Hope this helps.

You need to be there 15 minutes before you appointment. They will NOT let you in before that.

It should not take very long at all, at least it did not in my case. And most cases, you are out in 10-15 minutes.

Bring your passport and your appointment notice.

Got interview date!!!!

Hey guys,
I got a letter with notice date - June 21 2007 stating my interview date is on August 28 2007.

Just one thing....my appartment lease is expiring on July 31st 2007. So...my address will be changing. I am trying to see if my lease can be extended but it is not clear right now.

In that case what would be a good way to handle this ?

File AR-11 online to change your address with USCIS.

Call USCIS hotline and change your address with them (to double check)

During your interview, let the Immigration Officer know that you have changed address to your new one. Whatever it is. It should not be a problem.

Congratulations on getting the interview letter, you should check the May Filers thread if you want to join us.

Thanks :) adom.2007

Well..PraetorianXI that's why it's approximation... and I estimated GC in almost 180 days...:) not 56 days :) :)...

Anyway...I am happy here to have received the interview letter in August and wish me luck...and wish you all luck...
