Firstly I am blindly relying on Tazmania’s post that the EU numbers are at 26000.

I can’t believe I am finally going to have an interview. It seems like an eternity since I got the first NL. I thought for a very long time that I would never make it as I had such a high case number. As a little nostalgic episode I was trawling though my old posts. And I eventually found my very first post:

This seems very high, and after looking at the last two years the cut offs were well below this. Although I have looked back at years gone by and they have gone beyond this some years. I will of course send back the form, but if the cut offs did manage to go above this it is likely to be a year from Aug/sep 2007 that I might get an interview! so lucky to get a letter and then so unlucky to get such a high no! ahh well thats life! I just thought I would post this as it is higher then most of the EU numbers on this forum so far I think. I will be checking back to see if anyone has gotten one any higher.

I still remember sitting at my kitchen table full of disappointment as the penny started to drop that getting a GC with such a high case number was a serious long shot. And now in June with just three months to go it looks like its going to finally happen.
So let this be a testament to DV-winners with high case numbers, it is possible to get that much coveted interview even if you do have a high case number!

Congratulations alemitmee! The actual visa bulletin is out in the website and 26,000 is current for EU. So no need to rely blindly anymore.
 
Here are the cutoff numbers for June:

AFRICA 32,000
Egypt: 22,000
Ethiopia: 17,750
Nigeria: 13,000
ASIA 11,900
EUROPE 26,000
NORTH AMERICA (BAHAMAS) 12
OCEANIA 1,500
SOUTH AMERICA, and the CARIBBEAN 1,700
 
Alright now...we're one step closer guys!:cool:
How soon can we call KCC to find out the exact date of the interview in June, since i need to book my ticket for going home...and the prices are rising every day!
..i don't want to be waiting for the 2nd letter! :)
 
You should wait 4 or 5 days before you call KCC for interview date.

They will ask for your Case Number, Name of Primary Applicant & Birthdate before they will give you any information.

Hi Guys, just a quick note to let you know hubby & I had success at our interview today! We are just waiting on the Canadian Police Certificate to arrive and we post them to the US Consulate, then they stamp that elusive visa in our passports and we are off to the land of opportunity! Very exciting :D
