Could someone kindly advise me the maximum validity of
Advance Parole, that is how long one could remain outside the
US and return using AP. Also, is it normally issued for one trip
only or multiple trips, and, if so, how many?

AP expiry is Till its expiry date (generally 1 year). If you applied for multiple entries (See i131 form) then you will get AP with multiple entries. You can travel as many as times until expiry.
