Hi,

I plan to go for IEAD next week. I stay in Maryland so the local INS office is in Baltimore, but the local INS web site indicates that the IEAD will only be issused at Vermount Center.

Anybody who has previously been to Baltimore for IEAD????
Or can I go to the another state (Virginia) for IEAD??
And what all documents I need to carry for IEAD???

Also i have got a RFE on my case so not sure whether that could be a problem.

All ASC centers do not publish that they issue interim EADs. However Baltimore might have a different policy (It is one of the ASCs who scrutinise AC21 cases with utmost vigor). Only way to find out is to walk in and try. Either you will be turned down outright and you will get the interim EAD. No harm.

You can also go to other ASCs all over US. Remember you need a reason why you are not getting the interim EAD at baltimore if your drivers license shows your address as in baltimore.

EAD receipt(original preferred), I485 receipt and driver's license

I will definetly go to the Baltimore office and give it a try.

My other concern is that I have got a RFE on my case, I have responded it and have all documents regarding the RFE. Any Idea whether ASC entertain cases with RFE.

REF for I-140 or REf for I-485 ?

If you have REF for I-140 (if you did concurrent) then i think INS won't issue IEAD, but if the REF is for I-485 then probally you should be fine. (You shouldn't mention about REF, if the don't ask for)

The RFE is for EAD itself and we have already responded. The RFE was for the proof of I-140 Document which was approved in Feb itself.

Not sure whether they will issue IEAD as a RFE is issused on EAD.

This question is for my sister. Her EAD is pending at Baltimore too. Can you share your experience regarding Interim EAD when you went there ??
 
Hi,

We went to Baltimore office early morning at 7:30. The officer took the copy of the EAD Receipt notice and wrote duplicate on it. She also wrote the alien number on it. She told we will receive a letter soon. Its been 2 weeks and we still have not received any letter.

Could you tell me about your sister EAD, is it a EAD or a IEAD and how did she applied it at baltimore???

My sister applied for her EAD renewal in last week of April to VSC.
VSC trasferred her case to Baltimore in Mid June. I dont know why they did that as she is a resident of Virginia...

Anyway she was concerned that if her EAD doesnt come from Baltimore in 90 days, then what does she need to do for the Interim EAD there ?
