Hi,

I am on H1B and got an offer to marry a GC holder

what are the implications regarding the immigration?

what problems might arise in case if i loose job on H1B?

How long will it take to get my Gc?

fasttrack to GC

Now you have a family based route to GC. After marriage apply for I130. You can also apply for I485 , I765 (EAD) and I131 (AP- required for travel if using EAD) alongwith.
Once EAD is approved, you are like a GC holder- can change employers at will.
Until GC approval, keep renewing EAD diligently.

Marrying a green card

Hi,


I am an Indian citizen employed in USA on H1 Visa.

I am getting married next month and she is a Permenant Resident of USA. She is finishing her 5 years of stay in USA in March, 2007 and she will apply for citizenship after that.

Which is the best step i can take?

Can i apply for EAD now or i should wait till she becomes citizen of USA.

Please guide me,
