I have specific immigration situation. In 2000 I got married to US citizen. At that time my wife and I filed application for my conditional green card. After interview conditional green card was granted to me for period of 2 years (expiration date 3/14/2003). In January 2003 I submitted I-751 joint application with all necessary documents. Application was received and receipt was mailed back to me. 10 months after I filed my I-751 my wife and I decided to get divorced. Our divorce was finalized last week.
I do not know which way to proceed from this point on. Should I file new application with documents stating that marriage was entered in good faith or should I wait for my interview and then file new I-751.
I do have range of documents as proof that our marriage was entered in good faith. In addition my ex wife is willing to issue statement in support of my application as well as to attend and testify at INS interview.
