i obtained my green card based on employment last year, however a year before i got my green card, i married a us citizen then how soon can i apply for my citizenhisp?? any ides gurus???

3 years minus 90 days from getting GC.
It does not matter how you got the GC. Once you are married for three years to the same US citizen you can apply (assuming you had your GC all that time).

It is 3 yrs if you are married to a US citizen although you can file 3 months before the 3rd year have elapsed.

You and i are more like in the same boat the only difference is i got my asylum based greencard on 08/10/04 but was backdated for year,which means i`m considered to have got my GC since 08/10/03.

I have been married to a US citizen since yr 2001 therefore i will be eligible to file citizenship in 05/2006.
