hello everyone,

A friend of mine is about to get married to a us citizen but she has a delemma.
She is an illegal allien who came in the US with her sister name.
Noon, she is getting married under her real name.

will she have some legal problems with the immigration?

Do you recommand that she take a lawyer before saying I do?

By the way, she lives in Atlanta(ga), what is the procedure to follow?

Will she need to go back in her country to have an interview?

If she has never been caught by immigration and isnt in any kind of procedings I would recommend she go home to her native country and marry there and then apply for her residency at a consulate. if she marrys here and then goes home for visa consulate processing they are going to know she was here illegally and she will have to file a waiver i-601 for her illigal presence and depending on the country that could take a year to be approved and they don't necesarily always approve those waivers.
