Marriage with cousin and immigration!

I am wondering what is the proceduer like if a USC marries his cousin in one of the states where cousins can marry but has a residence in the state where the cousin marriage is not acknowledged.
Can he still file for adjustment of status for his spouse? Does BCIS has any problem with their resident state?

If you can get marriage certificate from a state, USCIS is not going to ask you anything else.

as long as you have that marriage certificate you should be ok
