marriage with B2

I have a girlfriend from thailand. Last year she came her with B2 visa. And we have decided we want to get married. now i know there is the fiance visa but she doesn't want to wait for all the time it might take to process. Since she has a B2 visa she wants to come here on that and then we marry while she is here. We are both hoping that we can then change her status after our marriage does anyone know if that will be allowed.

Also even if it can be done it may take more than the six months that she would be allowed with her B2. How does she go about getting her time frame changed from six months to a year. Which i have heard is possible upon first arrival.

You have confessed her intent to AOS even before her entry into the US. Pursue the K-1 route.
