Marriage while on tourist visa

I'm a naturalized U.S citizen, met a girl in NY last month who was on tourist visa visiting her sister. She got a 10 yr multiple entry visa and this was her first visit to the U.S. She is back to her home country (India) and we are planing to get married in her next trip to NY within 2 months. Getting in married seems straight forward, what are risks, if any, we face when I change her status from tourist visa to immigrant visa (green card)?

1. What should she tell the immigration office when she enter? Visiting sister, sightseeing?
2. Could we marry within a week she enter the country?
3. Any risks in changing her status?

Thanks in advance

A1: The truth and nothing but the truth
A2: Yes. No risk in getting married in the US while on a tourist visa.
A3: Yes. There is always a risk of being accused of fraud and/or misrepresentation.

Your name means "superior", take the higher ground here. You both already have intention to get married. Go about it the right way. Look at K-1 and CR1 routes.

Suppose the green card interviewer sees that 1 week before she got married, she told the POE officer she's visiting the US to see her sister or go sightseeing. You see the inconsistency there? Things will get ugly after that.

File K-1 for her and do things the safe and correct way, don't have her pretending that her next entry is a tourist visit.
