my friend is a 22 year old colombian woman from Cali who first came to the US a
little over 2 years ago on a fiance visa. She married the american gent within
the 90 days and he then kept her a virtual prisoner etc etc.
She returned to Colombia within a few weeks and then he talked her into coming back. She came back and stayed a few months more and returned.
SHe then came back a third time in MArch of 2005 and stayed only one week. She came back a fourth and final time in April of 2006 and stayed 3 weeks.
Her 2 year conditional visa expired in sept. SHe is now in Colombia and still married to the american guy and has no contact with him
WHat options does she have to get a permanent visa based on the psychological mistreatment of the husband who really only wanted her for sexual purposes. He is about 50 years old now.
Can she get a tourist visa in order to return here and file for a divorce
and seeks damages for mental cruelty etc etc
