As per the below articles on when to get married during I-485 stage following is observed:
1. Assuming you are doing AOS:

AOS:
I have to be married BEFORE my I-485 is adjudicated by INS which will make me permanent resident and my wife could either do AOS if she is in US or go about doing "follow to join," based upon a consular interview abroad to also become a permanent resident using my preference classification and priority date.
COP:
I have to be married BEFORE I become lawful immigrant after clearing the consultate interview and entering US as an immigrant.

Given the above scenario can someone please answer my below question.
*I am currently on H1B and 2.5 yrs of H1B period is still left. My question is after concurrent filing for 1-140 and I-485 till what period can I LEAVE US to get married and be BACK on H1B in which case I would bring my wife on H4?
*Can I leave US to get married even after I get my EAD approved but my I-485 has not been approved?
*Will I be able to travel out of US and come back only on H1B status or do I have ANY OTHER OPTIONS with regards to the STATUS before the approval of I-485?

Any time before your H-1B status ceases. It will cease when one of 3 things happens: 1) your I-485 is approved, 2) you use your EAD to work, 3) your H-1B petition expires.

Yes, provided that you have not used your EAD to work.

You could travel on AP, but you wouldn't be able to bring in your wife that way. Make sure you do nothing to jeopardize your H-1 until you get married and your wife has entered the US on an H-4.
