Marriage on H1

Hi,

My Girl Friend is in Canada. I am here on H1. I want to marry her. How would it work? Can i call her on visitor's visa and marry her? I heard from some people, but not professional nor experience, that i cant marry her if she is here on visitor's visa. If not then how will i marry her? What would be the best way?

Safest approach is marrying abroad and you apply H4 for her at consulate.
