Marriage not registered

Sir
I have a visa interview on 12 Sept 2009.
I had married in Nov 1973 and within five/six days I went to USA with my husband.
He sent me back to India after 30 days and later I realised that he had cheated me.He also divorced me in 1975 in Michigan Court.
I later in 1986 got remarried and my step sons filed my application under IR5 category which has been approved by NVC.
Query : My first marriage was not registered anywhere. What do I do as US embassy on its web site (Packet 4) asks for all previous marriage certificates to be brought .This certificte does not exist

Please help and guide

Since there was a divorce that took place in Michigan, then the marriage existed. If there is no marriage certificate, you have to produce a certificate of non-availability issued by some administration in the jurisdiction where the marriage took place.
