At the interview, we were asked a set of questions about our marriage *separately for some reason...
After the interview, immigration officer said they would need an additional information and we can inquiry on the status in 30-60 days.

It has been 90 days now and still no response from them.During those 90 days, no one stopped by our apartment from immigration nor called.

Based on the interview, it went really well, immigration officer asked us separately about how we met, about our apartment, cars, favorite things, restaurants and our parents..

Is this normal?

No, normally you are not separated, unless they suspect there is something wrong with your application. If your answers at the interview matched your spouse's then you shouldn't have anything to worry about, but since it's past 90 days and you haven't had a response yet, I suggest you make an Infopass to inquire on your current status.

Do we have to go together? Do we just speak to one of the reps or how does it work?

Thank you

any of you can inquiry on infopass, schedule infopass online and bring the interview notice letter or just A# and you will be fine.

We had the same situation at our interview over 3 months ago! I have made 2 infopass since but all they told me is that they are doing multiple background check and they have no idea how long that would take since USCIS hires "outside" investigator to investigate the case! God knows what that means!! So all you can do is to be pacient. I suggest to make the infopass and see what they tell you!
Good luck!

got approved 5 month after the interview !!

I suggest if you have a lawyer let him send inquiry to your local office asking them for more information about your application ! if your answer matches at the interview , you have nothing to worry about ! thats what happen with me at the interview and i got Approved 5 months later !!!!!!!!! good luck

Its now been over a year since the first interview and no response yet from USCIS. Multiple info passes - same story - same response.
Lawyer wrote a few letters to the head office no response.

Any suggestions?

My lawyer says other option could be writ of mandamus but he charges high fees for that.

Be prepared to file the WOM. Otherwise your case will just sit there for another couple years or more.

But before you file the WOM, you need to take certain steps to show the court that you already took reasonable attempts to resolve it without filing the lawsuit. Send a letter to the Ombudsman and your Congressman/Senator, and other parties such as those indicated in this thread: http://forums.immigration.com/showt...nst-USCIS-or-thinking-about-a-lawsuit-(Merged) and give them a few months to act.

Then if that didn't work, file WOM when it is 18+ months after the interview. You can file WOM by yourself if you do enough research on how to do it. Instead of paying the lawyer thousands of dollars to do everything, you can prepare it yourself and use a lawyer only for one or two half-hour conversations to review and correct what you've done, which would cost only a few hundred dollars.
