Marriage base visa timeline

Do anyone have idea about the timeline,if a USC apply for his spouse(from india) for immigrant visa.Its not about consular processing,if we apply from here in US.

Any suggestions please..should one file here in US or go back to india(consular processing),which one is faster..

I was told its always faster from within the US. That's what I did. I'm from Canada, came as a visitor. I got married in June and have my interview in 2 weeks.

No one can give you the exact timeline. So, I would encourage you to apply and follow the process as dictated by immigration timeline. So, unfortunately, USCIS is improving its service standards and cross your fingers that your case will be processed quickly.
