married a us citizen and divorced shortly after applying for the I485. am still in the States, but not living with him anymore. my case says it's pending, but my question is is this application not going to be approved now that I'm divorced?

Barring abuse, there's no legal way for it to be approved.

I-485 is approvable if marriage was entered in good faith. It may look suspicious because you divorced shortly after. The burden of proof may be on you. Be ready to make your case about what changed right after applying for I-485 that made you decide to turn away from your marriage. Get a great attorney and good luck.

there was no abuse and the marriage was entered into with good faith. but my husband was more interested in having a housekeeper than a wife. if my status is not approved and adjusted, can i apply for another form of visa to stay in the country longer? i work and go to school fulltime.
