Marriage and pending I-485

Hi Gurus :)

Im getting married to an american citizen next month. I already filed my I-485 thru my employer. My case is still pending. Im one of the july filers (EB-3). Im done with my fingerprinting (code3). I'm just wondering if i can file I-485 again thru marriage? What will happen to my I-485 (employment based)?

Of course, nothing precludes you from having a family-based 485 in addition to an outstanding employment-based one. Since visa is immediately available when a USC spouse submits a petition, your family-based 485 will be approved before the one submitted through employment. At that time you may gracefully withdraw the unapproved 485.

Yes please withdraw your employment based I-485, since it will be one less person in line for the rest of us. Good luck, and congrats!
