Dear all,
I applied for my I-485 in Aug 2003 and have received my EAD. The processing time is between 20 to 24 months, according to which I should get my Green Card by Apr 2005 - Aug 2005. However I still work on H-1B visa which is valid till Dec 2006. I am planning to get married in the next 6 months and get my spouse here on an H-4 visa. I have gone through the FAQs and learnt that it is possible to bring my spose to the US after I applied for my I-485 but before I get my Green Card.
I would like to know, even though it is legally and practically possible to do such a thing, if there is some member, or someone they know personally, in this forum who have actually gone through the same situation and what they think about this issue. Could one of you please share your experience at the Counseling center in India when you and your spouse were being interviewed and how the whole process went? I would really appreciate your comments, and maybe I'll sleep better tonite.

Sincerely,
SS

----- That is true, once your spouse reaches US on H4 then file her I-485 and that I-485 will be attached to your pending I-485 file.
I would like to know, even though it is legally and practically possible to do such a thing, if there is some member, or someone they know personally, in this forum who have actually gone through the same situation and what they think about this issue.
----- it is legal , many have done it and are doing
