Marriage after applying for I-485

I have recently applied for I-485 and planning to get
married before it\'s approved. Taking a chance on INS efficiency.

I have couple of questions.

1. Can I use 180-day rule and get a new H-1 from a new employer with same
job description?
2. If yes, can I use it to get my spouse H-4? Do I need any info from my previous employer to file AOS for my spouse?(before 485 gets approved).

thanks for your time.

No Title

1. You can get a new H1 from a non-sponsoring employer. You don\'t need AC21 (and it is irrelevant for H1 here). But since GC is for the future employment, you are not prevented from working for another employer. But at the time of interview if it had been > 180 days from RD of 485 and you are in a job similar to the LC /140 description , then you can claim AC21 to get the GC APPROVAL. So you are fine here.

2. Yes. For AOS adding your spouse to 485, you do not need any documents from your sponsoring employer. But try to get the original I485 receipt, LC application (employer part), LC approval, I140 approval and the employment offer letter sent with 485 app for your future dealings with INS. If the marriage happens at a later stage (before approval) you can still do CP for your wife (follow to join)
